Adventure Club News
As we anxiously await the release of the movie, The Lightning Thief on February 12th, the Adventure Club is reading The Titan’s Curse by Rick Riordan for the month of February.
This book is the third tale in the Percy Jackson and 
The Olympians series. The next time we get together is Thursday, February 18th at 4:00 p.m. Join us for an exciting adventure where we will have a Greek Mythology & Percy Jackson trivia challenge to determine whether you are a Demi-God or a true Olympian God!
The movie release and our book club read also corresponds with the opening of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics on February 12th. Check out the Olympic mascots here.
And, HERO is the magazine of the Gods. You can learn interesting insights from our hero, Rick Riordan and brush up on the Percy Jackson trivia before the challenge on Feb. 18th. Our bookstore book club is for kids ages 11-13 and the fee is $5.00 each month. We hope you will join us.

My son is addicted to these books, and since I read what they read, now so am I. We’re counting the days till the movie. He wants a midnight showing. 🙂
It’s going to be great fun. Just imagine all the characters and settings in book one!
I hear they’re working on book 2.
Hopefully this series will go farther in Hollywood than Golden Compass. I loved those books but nobody wanted to see the sequels on the big screen.
