WHAT A DAY!

inauguration

21 Jan

What was your day like yesterday? What were your thoughts? If you were like us at the bookstore we had the live feed going all day long. At times we watched, other times we listened as we worked. What a day!!! The sight of seeing all those people waving flags was amazing. I think we were all touched as we realized the great historical event that was taking place and that we were a witness to it. It was truly inspiring.

Seeing Malia with her camera, Sasha giving her Dad, the President of the United States, the thumbs up, and Michelle holding Abraham Lincoln’s Bible as President Obama took the oath of office was a moment in history to treasure. I loved reading into the night thoughts from others. I was touched by the letter from the Bush twins offering advice to Malia and Sasha about living in that “magical place” called the White House. Take some time when you can and read it. Check out the new White House site here. There is a blog and even a section called WhiteHouse 101 with facts and fun for all ages.
