This award was established in 2004 and has since expanded to include both picture books and books for older readers.
The Curious Garden by Peter Brown is the 2010 picture book award winner and The Brilliant Fall Of Gianna Z. by Kate Messner is the book award for older readers.
The 2009 read aloud awards went to A Visitor For Bear
by Bonny Becker (picture book)
and for older readers, Masterpiece by Elise Broach.
