Curious George Goes to a Costume Party by Margret and H. A. Rey
George and the man with the yellow hat are invited to a Halloween party at Mrs. Gray’s house. They didn’t know it was also a costume party so Mrs. Gray lets George look through her dress-up clothes to pick out the perfect costume. With a curious monkey around, picking out a costume will lead to one exciting party!
In the story, bobbing for apples was one of the games the guests played. After reading, we also bobbed for apples. Each child had a piece of yarn with a magnet attached to one end. There were apple cutouts on the floor with paperclips attached. By hanging the magnet over the paperclip, the children bobbed for apples.
