SANTA READS!
Santa came to The Purple Cow and read to the children such books as Millie in the Snow by Alexander Steffensmeir.
Dream Snow by Eric Carle
and Pinkalicious by Victoria Kann and Elizabeth Kann. We sang songs with him and it wouldn’t be Santa if he didn’t tell a few jokes. He spoke with each one of the children and asked what they would like for Christmas. He made sure and asked if they had made their beds and cleaned their rooms. Watching the faces on the kids was absolutely hilarious. The parents enjoyed that as much as the staff.
Along with the candy canes that Santa passed out he also gave each of the children their very own winter bookmark. What is the Purple Cow doing now? Our Purple Cow is snowboarding! YES! The Purple Cow snowboards with a book in its hand. Quite an accomplishment! I guess that is what happens when one reads and reads and learns exactly how to do it.
