What To Do On A Rainy Day?

celebrate circus day· clown activities· country mouse· read-aloud story· town mouse

18 May

On a lazy, summer afternoon the country mouse gets a visit from his friend, the town mouse.

Do you know the difference between these two best friends? It is where they live, of course! In the country, Pipin’s life is very easy-going and slow but in the city, Toby’s life is quite busy –especially when the cat comes to visit.

The Town Mouse and The Country Mouse as re-told by Susanna Davidson is a wonderful read-aloud story and a favorite book to read for story time.

Or you might consider gathering the kids together and having your very own circus. It is so much fun to dress up like clowns and other circus performers. Here are some circus party ideas for all ages you might like to try. Favorite circus stories to read are If I Ran The Circus, a Dr. Seuss Classic or See The Circus by H.A. Rey.
