2nd Story of Christmas

Today we read Too Many Tamales by Gary Soto. Maria is so happy helping her mother make tamales for Christmas Eve. She feels so grown-up helping. Her mother let Maria put on some of her lipstick and even some of her perfume and now Maria is helping with the tamales. She notices her Mother’s ring on the table and puts it on her thumb. But something happens to the ring!
